Frequently asked questions
Will every face be hidden?
Most faces are found and hidden automatically. That said, faces in profile or very small ones can be missed. Before you save, always check the preview to make sure every face is covered.
Does it cost anything?
It’s free. The saved photo or video has a small Unface logo (watermark) in the bottom-right corner.
What photos and videos can I use?
For photos, common formats like JPEG, PNG, and iPhone HEIC are supported — one at a time, up to 20 MB. For videos, MP4 and MOV work, up to 15 seconds and 60 MB.
Can I use it on videos?
Yes. Videos up to 15 seconds are supported. Faces are tracked and blurred automatically, and the audio is kept as is. It exports at 720p, it’s free, and a small watermark appears in the corner (up to 3 videos a day).
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Just open this page in your phone’s browser and choose a photo or video. You can save or share it right there.
Are my photos or videos used to train AI or for anything else?
No. We never use the photos or videos you send to train AI, and we never publish them anywhere.
